The CITIZENS GRASSROOTS CONGRESS

Saturday November 14, 2009:  Make A Difference with Your Writing!

From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday November 14, before the Free Press Salon, there will be a Writers Meeting at the Free Press Offices at the Hanna House 1021 E. Broad Street. This meeting will include recruiting reporters to perform Council Watch activities such as monitoring the actions and performance of the Columbus City Council. This is a journalistic opportunity for aspiring (and experienced) writers to record and publicize the actions of our City government and representatives in a manner not being adequately performed by the local press and media. Many other topics and ideas for local Free Press articles and features will be discussed and assigned.
All who are interested in helping make the Columbus City Council more transparent and responsive are invited to attend and participate! Please RSVP to this email address,
Cogefdt@yahoo.com. If you want more information you may also email this address or call Doug Todd at 308-5681.
